Since her humble beginnings in Pflugerville, Texas, soprano Tracie Rhesean Davis has made an impression on audiences, teachers, and colleagues with her rich, robust voice and heartfelt emotional performances. While receiving her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance at Louisiana State University, Ms. Davis made her operatic solo debut as Annina in Verdi’s La Traviata. Ms. Davis recently received her master’s degree in Voice Performance at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA), where she studied voice with Jonita Lattimore. While at CCPA, Ms. Davis performed in the Midwest premiere of The Beautiful Bridegroom by Dan Shore, La Bella Dormente nel Bosco by Ottorino Respighi, and Il Viaggo a Reims by Gioachino Rossini. In addition to her operatic roles, Ms. Davis has enjoyed performances with the Grant Park Chorus, Austin Vocal Arts Ensemble, and of course, The William Ferris Chorale.
