we must listen

In February, WFC explores what it means to listen — listen to each other, listen to the voices of a new generation, listen to our planet, and open our ears to new music.

This February the William Ferris Chorale launches a new partnership with the Chicago Public Schools, Lake View High School, and Golden Apple Recipient Puja Ramaswamy.

Together we explore what it means to listen, as we hear about extinction, water, native prairies, and the way we all affect these animals and ecosystems through both our action and inaction. Come hear WFC create aural landscape in Chicago’s iconic St. James Cathedral with works by Ayanna Woods, Edie Hill and a world-premiere by Augusta Read Thomas.

This exciting concert features the choir of Lakeview High School, as they premiere a new work written by them in collaboration with composer Adore Alexander.
